State Supreme Court tips S.C.A.L.E.S at Boys' State
The Tennessee Supreme Court heard oral arguments in two cases this morning in TTU's Derryberry Auditorium as part of its S.C.A.L.E.S program. Initiated by then Chief Justice E. Riley Anderson in 1996, the program allows students unusual access to the court's proceedings by holding sessions where students are gathered to learn more about the judicial process. After their oral arguments, attorneys in each case candidly debriefed delegates on their performances and legal questions that arose.
